Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a novel diamine for imparting a thin film that has not only exceptional flexibility and transparency, but also low retardation. [Solution] Provided are: a diamine characterized by being represented by formula (1-1); a polyamic acid and a polyimide obtained from said diamine; a composition for forming a thin film, the composition containing said polyimide and silicon dioxide particles; and a thin film formed therefrom. (In the formula, R1 to R5 each independently represent a halogen atom, an alkyl group, or an alkoxy group; R6 and R7 each independently represent a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, an alkyl group, or an alkoxy group; a, b, d, and e each independently represent an integer of 0-4; and c represents an integer of 0-2.)
