Abstract:

This diaphragm-gasket-protective member complex is provided with: an ion-permeable diaphragm; a gasket which retains the diaphragm at the outer edge thereof; and an electrically-insulative frame-like protective member for retaining the gasket. The protective member is provided with a frame-like substrate and a frame-like lid member. The substrate is provided with: a receiving section which is disposed on an inner peripheral side of the substrate so as to receive the gasket and the lid member; and a support section which extends from the receiving section so as to protrude toward the inner peripheral side of the substrate and which is for supporting, in a direction intersecting with a main surface of the diaphragm, the gasket being received by the receiving section. The lid member has dimensions enabling the lid member to be received in the receiving section of the substrate. When the gasket and the lid member are received in the receiving section of the substrate, the gasket becomes interposed between the lid member and the support section of the substrate.
