A small, lightweight diaphragm being fixed readily to the lens-barrel of a CCTV camera and equipped with an optical filter being inserted retractably on the optical path. The diaphragm comprises a diaphragm substrate (10) having an opening (10a) forming the optical path, a pair of diaphragm blades (12, 13) placed on one plate surface of the diaphragm substrate and restricting the optical path by sliding along that plate surface, a driver (20) for driving the diaphragm blades (12, 13) in order to restrict the optical path, an optical filter (infrared cut filter) having transmission characteristics dependent on the wavelength, and a filter driver (30) for inserting the optical filter on the optical path or removing it from the optical path. The optical filter is formed into a thin film shape and placed between two diaphragm blades (12, 13) slidably along the diaphragm blades. The optical filter (15) is supported rotatably on a supporting shaft (10c), and the diaphragm driver (20) and the filter driver (30) are arranged on the same side with respect to the optical path.
