Abstract:
A dibenzylamine compound represented by the general formula (1): (1) (wherein R1 and R2 each is optionally halogenated C1-6 alkyl, etc.; R3, R4, and R5 each is hydrogen, halogeno, etc., provided that R3 and R4 may form an optionally substituted homocycle or heterocycle in cooperation with the carbon atoms bonded thereto; A is -N(R7)(R8), etc.; ring B is aryl or a heterocyclic residue; R6 is hydrogen, halogeno, nitro, C1-6 alkyl, etc.; and n is an integer of 1 to 3); a prodrug of the compound; or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt of either. They have selective and potent CETP inhibitory activity and are hence usable as, e.g., a therapeutic or preventive drug for hyperlipemia, arteriosclerosis, etc.
