Abstract:
Disclosed is a smart card comprising: a communication circuit configured to communicate with a reader associated with an authentication service; a memory that stores a program associated with the authentication service, a decentralized identifier, and a verifiable credentials (VC) list; and at least one processor configured to be operatively connected to the memory to execute instructions, wherein the at least one processor is configured to: when receiving an authentication request from the reader, transmit, to the reader, VC included in the VC list and associated with the authentication request; and when receiving, from the reader, a hash value generated on the basis of at least some information included in the VC, generate a digital signature on the basis of a set of the hash value and the decentralized identifier, and transmit the generated digital signature to the reader. Other various embodiments identified by the specification are possible.
