Abstract:
A die for extrusion forming used for extrusion forming of honeycomb formed body, comprising
a honeycomb forming cap of structure provided at its front face with groove-like
slits defined by cell blocks and provided at its reverse face with basis material
introduction holes communicating with the slits, and comprising a frame-like
presser board defining the configuration and dimension of honeycomb formed
body, disposed on the outer peripheral area of the honeycomb forming cap. Among
the cell blocks, in the direction of extrusion of forming basis material, the
edges of cell blocks laid in a position lying alongside the inner peripheral surface
of the presser board are shorter than those of other cell blocks lying on the side
interior to the inner peripheral surface of the presser board.
