Abstract:
Provided is a die for manufacturing a composite material structure. A single cylindrical die is supported by affixing the end surfaces of slab-shaped first and second segments to a support ring, one at a time with the convex top surfaces thereof facing outwards, and joining the side surfaces of adjacent segments to each other. In the resulting roughly-cylindrical die that can be divided into a plurality of segments, when the segments are assembled into a cylinder, the assembly process is simple and can be performed with high precision in terms of the positions of the segments.
