Provided is a die comprising a lip part. The lip part comprises a hot isotropic pressing (HIP) layer which is diffusion-bonded directly to a base material of a die main body by means of HIP treatment. The lip part can therefore be densified to have excellent bending strength and toughness, can be finished to have very precise surface roughness and can also be finished into a sharp edge having a very precise edge section, and has favorable abrasion and corrosion resistance. A die in which a lip part (8) is disposed at the tip end side of a die flow passage (5) formed in a die main body (4) and in which a coating liquid supplied to the die flow passage (5) is discharged from the lip part (8), wherein at least the lip part (8) is formed from an HIP layer (20) which is formed of an alloy powder (19) having favorable corrosion and abrasion resistance by diffusion-bonding the alloy powder (19) directly to the base material of the die main body (4) by means of HIP treatment.
