Abstract:
A compound screw body is rolled using a die member having a rigid surface which is displaced relatively to a screw material (B) while being pressed thereagainst. The die member is provided with a compound screw part forming region in which a plurality of recessed portions which each form an approximately parallelogram shape when viewed in the direction of the normal to a virtual surface obtained by connecting the outermost portions of the surface and each recessed from the virtual surface are arranged in a plurality of rows along the direction of the relative displacement. Further, the die member has a compound screw part adjusting region which is disposed on the upstream side and/or the downstream side from the compound screw part forming region (U) and in which an adjustment valley portion recessed in the virtual surface while extending in a belt shape is formed to be inclined at an angle corresponding to the lead angle of the compound screw part forming region. Consequently, the rolling defect of the cylindrical screw material is reduced when the compound screw body is formed, thereby enabling mass production of high-precision compound screw bodies.
