Abstract:
[Problem] To obtain a dielectric ceramic which has a high dielectric constant, a high Qf value, and a stable temperature dependence, τf, that is close to 0 ppm/ºC and a dielectric filter including the ceramic.
[Solution] Provided is a dielectric ceramic which consists of a main crystal phase containing Ba, Nd, and Ti and the remainder, wherein some of the Ti in the main crystal phase has been replaced with Al and the content of Al in the main crystal phase is at least 10% in terms of Al2O3 relative to the total content of Al in the main crystal phase and in the remainder. The dielectric ceramic hence has a high dielectric constant, a high Qf value, and a stable temperature dependence, τf, that is close to 0 ppm/ºC. Also provided is a dielectric filter which is equipped with this dielectric ceramic and which therefore stably has a desired dielectric constant, has a high Qf value, and can stably retain satisfactory performances over a long period in a place where fluctuations in temperature are severe.
