Abstract:
A dielectric ceramic which comprises a barium titanate composite oxide as the
main component, contains at least one rare earth element (R) selected from the
group consisting of Y, La, Ce, Pr, Nd, Sm, Eu, Gd, Tb, Dy, Ho, Er, Tm, Yb, and Lu, and
further contains Mg and Ni and in which a crystalline composite oxide comprising
the rare earth element (R), Ni, and Ti as major components is present. This dielectric
ceramic is used to form dielectric ceramic layers (1a) to (1g). Thus, high reliability
can be ensured even when a higher electric field is continuously applied for long
in a high-temperature atmosphere.
