Abstract:
The present application provides a dielectric transmission line and a network device. The dielectric transmission line comprises a core having a circular cross section, and a core cladding layer, a support layer and a metal shielding layer that are sequentially coated on an outer circumferential surface of the core, wherein the support layer is supported between the core cladding layer and the metal shielding layer, and cross sections of the core cladding layer, the support layer, and the metal shielding layer are all circular and form a concentric circle together with the circular cross section of the core; dielectric constants of the core, the core cladding layer, and the support layer are sequentially reduced, and the maximum cutoff wavelength of the main mode of a dielectric transmission line is less than the inner diameter of the metal shielding layer. In the dielectric transmission line of the embodiments of the present application, a support layer having a dielectric constant between the metal shielding layer and the core cladding layer is provided between the core cladding layer and the metal shielding layer, so that electric field distribution is more centralized on the core of the dielectric transmission line and a core cladding layer portion, and is greatest on the core, thereby reducing transmission loss of the dielectric transmission line in the network device.
