Abstract:
Provided is a dielectric waveguide that has good reflection characteristics even in a band on the low-frequency side of the center frequency of a prescribed operation band. A dielectric waveguide (1) is provided with: a guided wave region (12) that is defined by a first wide wall (21), a second wide wall (22), a first narrow wall (23), a second narrow wall (24), and a short wall (25), and that is filled with a dielectric substance; and a mode conversion part (31) that includes a columnar conductor (34) extending from the surface of the guided wave region (12) to the inside thereof. The width (W2) of the short wall (25) is set to be larger than a waveguide width (W1) at a position (x=x1) where the columnar conductor (34) is installed.
