Abstract:
A diene production method comprising: a step 1 in which a branched olefin is removed from a raw material including at least the branched olefin and a straight-chain olefin and a straight-chain internal olefin is obtained; and a step 2 in which a diene is generated from the internal olefin by using oxidative dehydrogenation using a first catalyst and a second catalyst. The first catalyst has a complex oxide including bismuth, molybdenum, and oxygen. The second catalyst includes at least one type selected from the group consisting of silica and alumina.
