Abstract:
It is arranged that DME fuel overflowing from a fuel injection nozzle (9) into a nozzle return pipe (7) is sucked by a motor-driven compressor (23) and returned to a fuel tank (4). Therefore, the nozzle return pipe (7) is maintained in a given negative pressure state by being evacuated by the motor-driven compressor (23). Evacuated by the motor-driven compressor (23), the interior of the nozzle return pipe (7) is controlled to a substantially constant pressure, so that pressure variations in the nozzle return pipe (7) acting on the valve of the fuel injection nozzle (9) can be reduced, thereby reducing the danger of the fuel injection characteristics of the fuel injection nozzle (9) being lowered by pressure variations in the nozzle return pipe (7).
