Abstract:
A diesel engine exhaust gas purification method which purifies exhaust gas while minimizing deteriorations in drivability and fuel consumption, wherein when the continuously regenerating DPF (12) attains a PM regeneration standby state, if the temperature of the continuously regenerating DPF (12) is at or above a predetermined temperature, and the speed of the vehicle to which the diesel engine (1) is fitted is decreasing from a speed at or above a predetermined speed, an EGR valve (15) is opened, an intake throttle (6) is closed, then an exhaust throttle (21) provided downstream of the continuously regenerating DPF (12) is closed, and fuel is supplied to a DOC (11) provided to the first stage of the continuously regenerating DPF (12).
