Abstract:
Disclosed in the present invention is a differential gear speed reducer having a wide selection range of the speed ratio and having a simple structure, the speed reduction ratio thereof corresponding to a specific mathematical formula. The main components of the present invention comprise a fixed gear, a drive gear and rollers, the fixed gear and the drive gear being internal gears, and the rollers being external gears. The present invention is characterized in that: each roller is divided into two portions, namely a fixed gear meshing portion and a drive gear meshing portion, the numbers of teeth of said two portions of the roller being different and said two portions being rigidly connected into a whole; a plurality of identical rollers are mounted in a planetary form on an input wheel; along with rotation of the input wheel, the rollers roll the fixed gear and the drive gear at the same time, so as to allow the drive gear to rotate relative to the fixed gear; and when assuming that the number of teeth of the fixed gear is a, the number of teeth of the drive gear is b, the number of teeth of the fixed gear meshing portion of each roller is m, and the number of teeth of the drive gear meshing portion of each roller is n, the speed ratio i=-bm/(an-bm). By selecting a, b, m and n values of the numbers of teeth of the gears, desired speed ratios can be acquired, so that the selection range of the speed ratio is very wide.
