Abstract:
A differential gear for vehicle transmitting rotational driving force from the engine of a vehicle to the drive axle. The differential gear (1) has a differential gear mechanism comprising a pair of side gears, three pinions meshing these side gears, three pinion shafts for pivoting the three pinions, respectively, a member for supporting the three pinions rotatably at the inner end thereof, and a case member of integral structure for containing the differential gear mechanism. The case member has a flange part receiving the rotational driving force through a ring gear, and a plurality of openings for fitting the side gears and the pinions. The three pinions are arranged such that a phase angle of 120&ring is set between the center of axes thereof and the three openings are formed in the circumferential wall part of the case member at positions dividing the circumference thereof equally into three.
