Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide an optical element that can control not only a light irradiation direction but also illuminance, and an optical system device that uses the optical element. This diffraction optical element controls, by a relief structure, light entered through a prescribed position, and emits the light so as have phase φ1(x, y) at position (x, y), wherein the relief structure is formed so that the phase φ1(x, y) satisfies φ1(x, y) = φ2(x, y)+ φ3(x, y)-2 mπ (m is an arbitrarily defined integer), in which φ2(x, y) represents the phase of light emitted at position (x, y) of a diffraction lens capable of controlling the light entered from the prescribed position to be parallel light, and φ3(x, y) represents the phase at the position (x, y) of a projection diffraction optical element capable of controlling the parallel light to have a projection pattern for a prescribed purpose.
