Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a diffuser, smell control system, information processing device, and program capable of diffusing an appropriate substance such as fragrance into a space according to the smell of the space. [Solution] According to one aspect of the present invention, a diffuser for diffusing a substance is provided. This diffuser comprises a detecting unit, an information holding unit, a comparing unit, and a diffusing unit. The detecting unit is configured such that a smell in an atmosphere can be detected by a smell sensor including at least a quartz oscillator sensor. The information holding unit holds at least one set of characteristic information and substance information, wherein the characteristic information indicates the characteristics of a targeted smell, and the substance information indicates a substance to correspond to the targeted smell. The comparing unit is configured such that a detection result by the detecting unit and the characteristic information can be compared. The diffusing unit is configured such that a substance indicated by the substance information corresponding to the characteristic information can be diffused when the detection result matches the characteristic information.
