Abstract:
Provided is a digital camera that can suppress the occurrence of vibration that accompanies the actuation of a shutter. And end section on one side of a camera body (10) is made a grip region (10A), and a drive unit (120) of a focal-plane shutter unit (110) is positioned within the bounds of this grip region (10A). Additionally, a battery (92) is positioned in an end section on the opposite side from the grip region (10A), between an image sensor (70) and a display unit (100). By positioning the drive unit (120) of the focal-plane shutter unit (110) within the bounds of the grip region (10A), during handheld photography, the vicinity of a rotational center of a shutter curtain can be gripped with the hand, and the occurrence of vibration can be effectively suppressed. Additionally, by positioning the battery (92) in the end section on the opposite side from the grip region (10A), the moment of inertia with the grip region (10A) as the center can be increased, and the occurrence of vibration can be even more effectively suppressed.
