Abstract:
A digital cartoon providing method according to an embodiment disclosed herein comprises the steps of: storing a digital cartoon including one or more page images respectively corresponding to one or more pages included in a printed cartoon; detecting one or more cut areas in each of the one or more page images; displaying each of the page images of the digital cartoon for each reference area via a display of a user terminal with reference to information about the user terminal when a request for the digital cartoon is received from the user terminal; and applying an image effect to the displayed reference area, wherein the reference area is one of the detected one or more cut areas, a sequence area including all of the content in the page image, or a page area corresponding to the page image.
