Abstract:
A digital clock for displaying world time according to the present invention comprises: a display panel for displaying current local time in all parts of the world; a panel driving circuit for controlling driving of the display panel; an interface to which setup information for setting a display mode of the world time is inputted; a memory for storing the setup information and information on time difference for each world time; a controller for controlling the panel driving circuit to display the world time on the display panel, based on the setup information and the time difference information that are stored in the memory; and a power supply for supplying power to the panel, the panel driving circuit, the interface and the controller, respectively, wherein, in order to indicate whether the world time is morning or afternoon, the controller distinguishes inside and outside of a display area of the display panel and shows an area recognition signal for the world time on the inside or the outside of the display panel, with the recognition signal being dependent on the morning and afternoon times.
