Abstract:
A digital communication system having characteristic less varying with temperature,
an indoor device, and an outdoor device, are provided. A digital communication
system in which an IDU (1) and an ODU (6) are interconnected through a cable (8).
The IDU (1) comprises a slope equalizer (2) for imparting a given frequency characteristic
to a baseband signal, a D/A (3) for D/A-converting the baseband signal, and an
AGC circuit (5) for amplifying the D/A-converted baseband signal with a given
amplification factor and outputting the amplified signal to the ODU (6) through
the cable (8). The ODU (6) comprises a power detecting circuit (7) for detecting
the length of the cable (8), determining the frequency characteristic imparted
to the baseband signal and the amplification factor according to the detected
length of the cable (8), and sends the determined frequency characteristic and
the amplification factor to the slope equalizer (2) and the AGC circuit (5), respectively.
