Abstract:
An electric power control device for power factor correction, according to one embodiment of the present disclosure, comprises: a rectifying unit for rectifying an input current; a first switch and a second switch connected to an output of the rectifying unit in order to perform phase control for the rectifying unit output; a first current sensor for sensing a current conducted in the first switch; and a second current sensor for sensing the current conducted in the second switch; a low-pass filter for filtering the currents sensed by the first current sensor and the second current sensor; and at least one processor which samples, once per an entire switching cycle of the first and the second switch, the current filtered by the low-pass filter, and which performs balancing control on the basis of the sampled current so that the average value of the current conducted in the first switch and the average value of the current conducted in the second switch become the same for a preset period of time.
