A digital currency transaction method and system based on a smart contract. The method comprises: a payer wallet acquiring a digital currency to be paid, and acquiring smart contract data (S1); the payer wallet sending transaction data to a payee wallet (S2); the payee wallet receiving the transaction data, and acquiring verification data generated by a signer (S3); the payee wallet sending a transaction record to a server (S4), wherein the transaction record comprises: said digital currency, the smart contract data, a first smart contract signature, a second smart contract signature and the verification data; the server verifying the transaction record, generating an issuance digital currency after the transaction record passes the verification, and sending the issuance digital currency to the payee wallet (S5), wherein the verification of the transaction record comprises: by using the verification data and the smart contract data, verifying the second smart contract signature, verifying the first smart contract signature, and verifying said digital currency; and the payee wallet receiving the issuance digital currency and storing the issuance digital currency (S6).
