Abstract:
There are provided a digital recording/reproducing device and a digital recording method capable of detecting a desired DV device without requiring a complicated operation by a user, controlling the DV device via bidirectional communication means, and capturing data after rewinding the DV tape to its head or attaching a chapter mark while performing capture. When a one-touch DV capture button (21) is pressed, a DV cam (4) connected via an IEEE13941 I/F (7) and a 1394 serial bus (6) is detected, virtual connection is made with a logical channel of an I/O plug of the DV cam (4) detected, the stream data from the DV cam (4) is converted into a recording format of an HDD (11) or a DVD (12), and the converted data is recorded in the HDD (11) or the DVD (12). Moreover, a chapter mark is automatically attached while detecting a discontinuous point of the time code in the DV packet header.
