Abstract:
A digital filter wherein a target filter characteristic and a noise component removing filter characteristic can be individually adjusted or designed. There included a main filter part (12) having a transfer function G(z) for applying a target filter characteristic to an input signal (X) as sampled at a rate higher than Nyquist rate; a quantizing part (13) for re-quantizing an output (D2) from the main filter part (12) to provide an output signal (Y); a sub-filter part (14), having an inverse transfer function G-1(z) to the transfer function G(z) of the main filter part (12), for filtering the output signal (Y); a noise shaping part(16) having a transfer function K(z) obtained by subtracting, from 1 (unity), a transfer function W(z) of a low stop filter having a low frequency band stopping characteristic in a predetermined frequency band of noise components including quantization errors Q(z); an adding part (11) for adding the input signal (X) to an output (D5) from the noise shaping part (16) to supply its output to the main filter part (12); and a subtracting part (15) for calculating a difference between the added signal (D1) and the output (D3) from the sub-filter part (14) to supply the difference signal (D4) to the noise shaping part (16).
