Abstract:
Provided is a digital temperature sensor circuit. The circuit comprises a PTAT current source (1) used for generating a PTAT current in direct proportion to an absolute temperature, a sigma-delta modulation module (2) and a digital filter (3). The sigma-delta modulation module (2) comprises an integrator (21), an analog-to-digital conversion unit (22), a feedback digital-to-analog conversion unit (23). The integrator (21) is used for converting the PTAT current into a temperature voltage; the analog-to-digital conversion unit (22) is used for comparing the temperature voltage with a band-gap reference voltage to generate a digital modulation signal with a duty ratio in direct proportion to the temperature; the feedback digital-to-analog conversion unit (23) is used for adjusting a voltage input by the analog-to-digital conversion unit (22) to control a charging/discharging velocity of the integrator (21); and the digital filter (3) is used for quantizing the digital modulation signal to a digital signal and outputting it. According to the circuit, an integral amplifier is removed in the Sigma-delta modulation module (2), so that the power consumption is greatly reduced; on one hand, the digital temperature sensor circuit is output in the mode of the digital modulation signal, so that the measurement precision is improved; and on the other hand, the temperature inside a chip is directly measured and the temperature value is quantized and converted into a binary code, so that the application range is expanded.
