Abstract:
A measurement unit (3) generates, at every period of a reference clock, a period measured value representing the period of the reference clock as a number of passage stages, which is the number of stages at which a circulating signal passes a delay element of a ring oscillator (2). A generation unit (8) counts the number of passage stages, and generates an output pulse signal at a timing when the number reaches a set count value. A calculation unit (6) calculates the number of repetitions on the basis of the value of an integer part of a period set value, and calculates an adjusted value on the basis of the value of a decimal part of the period set value and the period measured value. Every time the output of the output pulse signal at a coarse adjustment timing generated by means of the period measured value is repeated a number of times equal to the number of repetitions, an updating unit (7) updates the set count value such that the output of the output pulse signal at a fine adjustment timing generated by means of the adjusted value is performed once.
