Abstract:
A device and method for objectively measuring the visual field with high accuracy. [MEANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS] An ocular movement measuring unit (1) objectively measures the ocular movement of a subject. An output unit (3) presents an optotype for the latent time of saccade or less in an area visible to the subject. After the optotype is presented by the output unit (3), a control unit (2) judges whether or not the position of the eye ball almost agrees with the position of the optotype. According to the invention, the visual field of a subject can be objectively measured by means of the ocular movement measuring unit (1). According to the invention, the saccade occurring after the optotype (6) is made to disappear is recorded, and the visual field is measured according to the record. Therefore, high-accuracy visual field measurement is possible.
