Abstract:
In direct current arc welding according to the present invention, a short-circuit period Ts and an arc period Ta are repeated alternately, and the arc period Ta includes first to fourth periods T1 to T4. In the first period T1, a welding current Aw is increased to a first current value Ip, in the second period T2, the welding current Aw is decreased to second current value Ib with a time gradient Islp, in the third period T3, the welding current Aw is maintained at the second current value Ib, and in the fourth period T4, the welding current Aw is increased to a third current value Ib2 and is then maintained at said value. A wire feed rate WF is constant throughout the short-circuit period Ts and the arc period Ta. In the second period T2, the welding output is subjected to constant voltage control, and in the third period T3 and the fourth period T4, the welding outputs are subjected to constant current control.
