Abstract:
Provided is a direct-current circuit breaker equipped with an interruption mechanism unit (16) for interrupting a direct current by separating a fixed contact (1) and a movable contact (3) from each other, and an arc-extinguishing chamber (14) that accommodates therein multiple arc-extinguishing plates (15) stacked at regular intervals, each of said arc-extinguishing plates being formed by putting together an insulating plate (13) and a conductive plate-like grid (12) one on top of the other. A convex shield part is disposed on one surface of each arc-extinguishing plate (15) starting from the edge of the arc-extinguishing plate. Thus, the circuit breaker exhibits high interruption performance such that an arc does not leak out of the grid (12) into the surrounding.
