Abstract:
Provided is a direct lubrication-type tilting pad journal bearing with which vibration can be suppressed without increasing the amount of oil supplied from a nozzle. With this direct lubrication-type tilting pad journal bearing, the pads (2) have groove-shaped oil-collecting flow paths (6). These oil-collecting flow paths (6) are formed such that introduction ports (7) are opened at the end face of the pads (2) in the direction opposite the direction of rotation of a rotary shaft (1), and lead-out ports (8) are opened in the inner circumferential surface of the pads (2), with the introduction ports (7) and the lead-out ports (8) being open continuously. Furthermore, the width w2 of the oil-collecting flow paths (6) is smaller than the width w1 of the pads (2). Furthermore, the depth h from the outer circumferential surface of the rotary shaft (1) to the bottom face of the oil-collecting flow paths (6) is greater than the distance d from the outer circumferential surface of the rotary shaft (1) to the tip of a nozzle (3).
