Abstract:
Provided is a direction detecting device capable of appropriately performing a correction using a geomagnetic sensor. Specifically provided is a direction detecting device applied to a game machine (1) comprising a housing (2) serving as a body part, and 3D glasses (3) serving as a movable part the direction of which changes with respect to the housing (2). In said direction detecting device, a stationary-side geomagnetic sensor (18) installed in the housing (2), a gyro sensor (15) installed in the 3D glasses (3), and a movable-side geomagnetic sensor (17) installed in the 3D glasses (3) are provided, the direction of the 3D glasses (3) with respect to the housing (2) is determined on the basis of the output of the gyro sensor (15), and the direction determined on the basis of the output of the gyro sensor (15) is corrected on the basis of the outputs of the stationary-side geomagnetic sensor (18) and the movable-side geomagnetic sensor (17).
