Abstract:
This planetary gear deceleration mechanism of a disc brake has: a sun gear that has an input gear section to which rotation is transferred from a motor, and an output gear section provided extending in an axial direction from a radial direction center region of the input gear section; a plurality of planetary gears that mesh with the output gear section of the sun gear; and an internal gear that meshes with each of the planetary gears, wherein the internal gear has a cylindrical support section that supports the sun gear in a freely rotatable manner. Consequently, the axial center of the sun gear and the axial center of the internal gear can be positioned in a substantially concentric formation during assembly, reliability can be increased, and cost needs can be satisfied.
