Abstract:
Provided are a novel disc brake shim and disc brake, whereby damping or noise generation can be effectively suppressed. A disc brake shim characterized by having a base material layer comprising a metal plate, and a foamed rubber layer which is layered on at least a portion of the main surface on one side of the base material layer and which forms the outermost layer during arrangement. A disc brake having a pad material disposed on both axial sides of a disc rotor, and a shim disposed adjacent to the pad material on the reverse side thereof from the disc rotor, the disc brake being characterized in that the shim is the disc brake shim of the present invention.
