Abstract:
Provided is a disc brake that is made more compact and that improves a pedal feeling when operating a parking brake. This parking brake mechanism comprises an input member to which the rotation from an electric motor is transmitted, a cover member that is joined to the input member on one end side in the axial direction, a shaft member that is threadedly fitted with a ball and ramp mechanism, and a pressing member that is threadedly fitted to the shaft member. The ball and ramp mechanism comprises a rotary/linear ramp with which the cover member engages, and a support ramp that is threadedly fitted to the shaft member. A biasing member biases the rotary/linear ramp toward the input member.
