Abstract:
A formatted 1-7 PP signal (22) outputted from a BD-ROM formatter (20) is rapidly decoded and compared to the source data (34) by a comparison unit (30). True/false of the data from the BD-ROM formatter (20) is checked in real time. Thus, it is possible to check the data outputted from the RD-ROM formatter in real time during exposure of the 1-7 PP data from the BD-ROM formatter.
