Abstract:
It is possible to provide a disc type recording medium drive device which can easily be mounted on a mobile electronic device which should have a small thickness and can prevent affects by vibration or shock in spite of the small size and thickness and the light weight, thereby assuring a higher reliability. An electronic device using the drive device is also provided. On the upper portion of a main body (13) are formed a displacement regulating member (16) which protrudes to cover an opening (12a) when a storage unit (12) is closed so as to prevent protrusion of a disc cartridge (C) from the opening (12a) and a deformation regulating member (17) which protrudes outside a side wall (12b) of the storage unit (12) so as to prevent deformation of the side wall (12b) of the storage unit (12).
