Abstract:

A discharge destroying device and a method of discharge destroy used for destroying the bedrock of a formed housing site, crushing rocks and stones, trimming a tunnel, and destroying and demolishing and object such as a concrete structure. The discharge destroying device (1) is such that electric energy which is accumulated in a capacitor (13) is fed between a pair of electrodes (4a) in a short period of time, discharge is caused, a destroying substance (3) for pressure transmission is rapidly vaporized, and an object (H1) is destroyed by the expansion forces generated at this time. The ends of covering members (7), which cover a pair of metal conductors (4) forming a cable (6), is cut and removed, the exposed ends of the metal conductors (4) are immersed in the destroying substance (3), and the exposed ends are used as the electrodes (4a). Adjustment of the distance between the electrodes (4a) is not needed, and the manufacture of the discharge destroying device is easy.
