Title:
DISCHARGE DEVICE AND LIQUID DISPENSING DEVICE, AND METHOD FOR DISPENSING LIQUID
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2011/122425
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Disclosed is a device and method capable of projectile discharging tiny amounts of liquid droplets with a high degree of accuracy, and further, capable of discharging without contamination problems from different types of specimens/reagents. The discharge device aspirates an amount of discharge liquid for a plurality of discharges, and continuously projectile discharges tiny amounts of liquid droplets. The device is provided with a nozzle, a storage unit for supplying a pressure-controlled, pressure transmission medium to the nozzle side, a pressure unit for supplying pressure-controlled, pressurized gas to the storage unit side, a pump mechanism, a bifurcated unit that connects the nozzle, the storage unit and the pump mechanism, a discharge valve for connecting or blocking the bifurcated unit and the nozzle, and a supply valve for connecting or blocking the bifurcated unit and the storage unit. In a state with the discharge valve closed and the supply valve opened, pressure-controlled, pressurized gas from the pressure unit is supplied to the storage unit side, and a pressure-controlled, pressure transmission medium from the storage unit is supplied to the supply valve side; the discharge valve is opened and closed according to specified timing, and continuously projectile discharges tiny amounts of liquid droplets.
