Abstract:
A discharge silencer (22) to be provided underneath a vacuum pump (12), constituted by disposing a suction port (24) communicating with a discharge pipeline (21) of the vacuum pump (12) on one side of a hermetically sealed tank (23) and a discharge port (25) on the other side thereof and providing a partition (26) for separating the suction port (24) side from the discharge port (25) side with a throttle (27) and a drain communication hole (28) both permitting the suction port (24) side to communicate with the discharge port (25) side. A drain discharge pipe (33) may be provided underneath the tank (23), which may be provided with a jacket (31) for cooling water.
