Abstract:
This discharge surface treatment device is a discharge surface treatment device that supplies an electrode material onto a surface of a material to be treated by generating a pulsed electric discharge between poles, that is, in a gap formed between a discharge surface treatment electrode and the material to be treated, in order to form a coating film made of the electrode material, and is equipped with: a switching component for turning on/off a voltage to be supplied from a power supply to the interpole gap; a capacitance component that is connected between the switching component and the interpole gap in parallel to the interpole gap with respect to the switching component; an inductance component that is connected in series between the switching and capacitance components and the interpole gap; and a control unit that has a function to periodically turn on/off the switching component such that an induced electromotive force that is generated in the inductance component due to a current change in the electric discharge generated between the poles can be used as a voltage for inducing the next electric discharge.
