Title:
DISCHARGE SURFACE TREATMENT METHOD AND METHOD FOR FORMING DISCHARGE SURFACE TREATMENT FILM
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2010/128536
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Disclosed is a method for forming a discharge surface treatment film that, even when a zinc film is formed so as to exist sparsely on a surface of a base material, can prevent the surface hardness of an exposed discharge mark part in the base material from being rendered lower than the inherent surface hardness of the base material or can render the surface hardness of the exposed discharge mark part in the base material higher than the inherent surface hardness of the base material.  Also disclosed is a discharge surface treatment method that can render the hardness of a surface higher than the inherent surface hardness of a base material. The method comprises a first discharge surface treatment step of generating discharge between a carbon electrode and a base material, composed mainly of iron, in a hydrocarbon-type working fluid commonly used in electrical discharging, and a second discharge surface treatment step of generating discharge between a metal electrode, formed of a compression molded product of a low-melting metal powder, and the base material. Also disclosed is a method in which a hard iron carbide texture is crystallized out on the surface of a base material by generating discharge between a carbon electrode and a base material composed mainly of iron.
