A discharge tube according to the present invention is provided with a glass bulb (8) within which noble gas is enclosed, a pair of electrodes (9A, 9B) protruding from both ends of the glass bulb along the longitudinal direction thereof, and connectors (10A, 10B) to be connected to the electrodes. The electrodes are provided with at least axis sections (11A, 11B), and large-diameter sections (12A, 12B) comprising step sections and circumferential faces. The step sections comprise first latching sections for latching onto connectors, and the circumferential faces comprise contact sections with which the connectors come in contact. The connectors are provided with connector bodies into which the electrodes are to be inserted, second latching sections that are for latching onto the first latching sections of the electrodes, and connection sections that are for connecting with the contact sections of the electrodes. With such a configuration, a discharge tube having high connection reliability and high heat radiation efficiency, and a light-emitting apparatus provided with the discharge tube can be attained without using solder.
