B ackground of the Invention

E ndoscopy is one of the examination methods used for imaging internal body. An endoscopy device contains many medical devices and medical tools. Parts of devices and tools used in an operation are disinfected and re-used in next operation. The parts are stored in cleaning fluid in endoscopy disinfection set Disinfection baskets are used to place the parts in the disinfection set. T he parts intended to be disinfected are placed into disinfection basket and the disinfection basket is placed in the disinfection set.

In the disinfection baskets available in the related art, once the lid is closed, it cannot be opened again. The lid can not be opened after the parts to be disinfected are put into the basket. If any part is forgotten to be put in the basket, it is not possible to place it in the basket. This results in long treatment duration of disinfection and reduction in efficiency.

T he lid part of the baskets available in the related art is manufactured in concave form. In such case the area of parts placed in the basket is covered by curved volume of cover. P roduction of lid in curved form makes production of basket difficult and increases production costs. In addition, efficient use of the space in the basket is prevented.

In the literature review, patent application made in the U K numbered G B 2485818 is seen. T he said document relates to a basket used for disinfection of endoscopy devices. When the basket is closed, it can not be opened again. If a part is forgotten outside and the basket is locked, the basket can not be opened. A seal-like locking system is used. For that reason, once the lid is closed, it can not be opened again. Moreover, said product has a curved structure on lid part In such case, the volume of the basket where the part is placed is formed by lid and cage section together. T he disadvantage there is that it makes production of lid difficult British patent document numbered G B248501 1 -A seen during the literature search discloses a basket used to disinfect endoscopy parts also containing a long strap between lid and cage section. In said invention, the parts to be disinfected are placed in the basket, and then hung onto the hanger provided in endoscopy disinfection set by use of the strap and the lid is sealed. It is considerably difficult for the person hanging the basket onto the hanger. The person is to hang the basket onto the disinfection set when the lid is open. During hanging operation, as the lid is open, the parts may fall out of basket and get damaged.
