Abstract:
This invention pertains to a disinfectant for livestock manure, or a composting accelerant for organic waste matter or livestock manure, containing as an effective ingredient at least one type of Bacillus coagulans thermophile, or a combination of at least one type of Bacillus coagulans thermophile and at least one type of Bacillus subtilis mesophile, preferred bacteria being Bacillus coagulans thermophiles capable of growing at a temperature of 40-60°C, and Bacillus subtilis mesophiles capable of growing at a temperature of 30-50°C, the mesophiles having a disinfecting action on harmful bacteria present together therewith in manure; and to a disinfection method for livestock manure, or to an accelerated composting method for organic waste matter or livestock manure, in which these agents are employed as an effective ingredient.
