Abstract:
An oblique surface (18a) is formed on an adjusting nut (17) for automatically adjusting the brake clearance between a brake pad and a brake disk, and a ring (23) is provided within a piston (4). The movement of the piston (4) urges the adjusting nut (17) to rotatably advance. If an abrupt braking operation is carried out, an elastic member (20) deforms before the adjusting nut (17) rotates, the oblique surface (18a) of the nut (17) is thus brought into contact with the ring (23), and the adjusting nut cannot be rotated.
