Abstract:
This disk brake is provided with: a first casing (21) that has, on both sides in a disk circumferential direction, groove-shaped pad locking parts (73A, 83A) for locking a first friction pad (102); and a second casing that is disposed on a side opposed to the first casing (21) with a disk rotor (11) therebetween, and that has, on both sides in the disk circumferential direction, groove-shaped pad locking parts for locking a second friction pad, wherein the first friction pad and the second friction pad have the same shape, and the first casing and the second casing are different from each other regarding the shapes of the pad locking parts on both sides in the disk circumferential direction, but are the same regarding the shapes of the pad locking parts on reverse sides in the disk circumferential direction.
